ESEE KNIFE MODEL 6

The ESEE Model 6 is a large survival knife with a blade made of 1095 carbon steel. Within the ESEE range, this is one of the larger survival knives that can also be used for "normal" tasks. With its 16.5 cm blade you can also use it for light chopping tasks.

The blade is made of 1095 carbon steel. The most important quality of this type of steel is its hardness. It is almost indestructible. Another advantage is that 1095 carbon steel is easy to sharpen. Even when you're out in the field, with limited means, you can easily sharpen your knife. The only thing to consider is corrosion resistance: 1095 is not stainless. Fortunately, ESEE has upgraded it with a thick Traction Coating.

The full-tang blade has been upgraded with a G10 handle. A 3D micarta handle. This was a response to questions from enthusiasts. The traditional scales of the ESEE are flat and angular. These 3D scales are much more ergonomic. Due to the grooves you still have plenty of grip on the knife. With these scales the ESEE 6 has become much more versatile, approaching traditional bush knives even craft.

The knife comes with a high quality kydex sheath. You can fix it however you like on the included mounting plate with a steel belt clip. Thanks to the numerous mounting eyes, other clips will also be used. Think Tek-Loks or MOLLE clips (not included).

The great thing about 3D scales is that these versions fit in the same sleeves as the regular versions. Do you need an additional or replacement cover? Don't worry, you can just choose the normal version.
