ESEE XANCUDO KNIFE

The ESEE Xancudo is a fixed knife, based on the design of the famous ESEE Zancudo. ESEE took the profile of that folding knife, and turned it into a stationary knife.

For steel, ESEE selected the CPM S35V. This steel retains its edge much longer than ESEE's ""traditional"" 1095 carbon steel. Therefore, you do not have to sharpen it so often. The S35VN is also stainless, which means it doesn't require much maintenance.

Ideal knife if you spend time in the snow, in maritime environments or when you find yourself in other circumstances where maintaining your knife is not an option.

So there are only advantages? No, unfortunately it is a "compromise", like all types of steel. S35VN is quite strong for a type of stainless steel, however compared to 1095 carbon steel it is not as strong and flexible. In short, this knife is intended for cutting tasks, not for hitting. For that you would need an axe.
