The Nieto COE de FNT Guerrillero was designed to be used by the mountain troops of the Spanish Army in 1942, beginning its first deliveries in 1945. The first units to have it were the Ski Climbing Companies, Mountain Units, Military School of Mountain, Guerrillas and the COE. A vestige of the history of the knife is the upper part of the blade that includes a zipper on the back that was originally used to remove ice from boots or skis.
BLADE / EDGE
Full tang blade that covers the entire length of the knife that provides great resistance and prevents possible breakage. The size and qualities of the blade provide ideal characteristics for making both impact cuts and cuts like a machete.
The straight edge allows deep incisions to be made on skins of all types with a clean cut. In addition, the Nieto COE knife includes a serrated part that gives the knife a unique tearing power in fibers, ropes or wood.
HANDLE
The handle of the knife has been made with granadillo wood, characterized by its resistance, which also gives the knife a non-slip feel. It also completes its protection with an elongated guard to protect from any cut and that makes this knife a perfect tool for hard work.
